Why the landing page and the lead-handling process deserve equal attention.
Traffic is the beginning
A campaign can target relevant searches and still waste money if the destination page is confusing. The visitor arrives with a question, and the landing page needs to answer it without making them hunt for a phone number, service detail or contact form.
I look at the promise made by the ad and the promise kept by the landing page. If they are not aligned, the user has to do extra work before taking action.
Review the whole journey
Campaign settings, search terms and budgets matter. So do mobile layout, page speed, trust signals, functioning forms and conversion measurement. I prefer auditing these together, because an apparently weak campaign can be exposing a website problem.
Then I would test the call-to-action myself. Does the form deliver? Does a telephone link open correctly? Are recorded events actually representing the steps we care about?
My take
Spending more is not a substitute for removing friction. I would rather fix a broken conversion journey before giving it more paid traffic.
